About us
Our Italian adventure started in 2001, when we stumbled down the then boulder-strewn path that led to Montate. Without even seeing inside the house that first day, we knew instantly that this was an extraordinarily special place - one that we knew would give us endless unforgettable memories. And so it has proved - from the birth of our younger daughter in the local hospital, spanning countless wonderful birthday parties - most recently to celebrate our elder daughter’s 21st - to fantastic holidays with friends and family. This is somewhere that we love sharing with people and it gives us enormous pleasure to read about guests’ varied glorious experiences. Holidays are special times, when we come together to relax and laugh. We believe there are few better places to do that than Montate.
About the house
Montate has four bedrooms in the main house; two king beds, one twin and one bunk bed, as well as an additional fifth queen bed on the mezzanine level of the outbuilding at the front of the house. Each of the front facing bedrooms has extraordinary views of the mountains and valley below. There are two luxurious bathrooms, one with shower the other with bath and shower combined. The kitchen/dining/living space is well-appointed and very comfortable. In addition to full central heating, there are two pellet stoves as well as an open fire to warm up a chilly night. The downstairs space of the outbuilding provides extra living space.

about the grounds
The house, pool and grounds are exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. There is ample parking behind the house for at least three cars. We have worked to create a number of different seating and dining areas outside from where you can marvel at the astounding views. There is also a covered table tennis table to the side of the house.
